GreenWay evaluated data for the first seven months of 2021, compared to the same period in 2020. We doubled the number of drivers registered in our charging network and three times more “refuelled” energy. Just in July this year, EV drivers charged a total of 320 MWh of energy- more than in the entire first half of 2020.
Half a million litres of gasoline saved
This year, between January and July, electric car drivers consumed more than 1.2 GWh of energy from GreenWay chargers – 200% more than in the same period last year.
The energy supplied by the GreenWay network enabled them to cover more than 6 million km. To cover the same distance, cars with an internal combustion engine would consume up to 500,000 litres of petrol.

In this one month, GreenWay clients consumed 320 MWh of energy and made 20,000 charging sessions, which represents more than a 250% increase compared to July 2020.
“In our opinion, the record level of use of our chargers is a response to the large increase in the number of electric car registrations,” commented Peter Badík, Managing Partner of GreenWay. “It is clear that the number of electric family vehicles that people use for holidays and leisure is growing. The average monthly volume of energy consumed by a regular GreenWay client increased by almost 40% during the year. “
Avalanche of electromobility
Almost 15,000 drivers are already registered in the GreenWay network in Slovakia and Poland. By comparison, there were just over 6,000 in July 2020. The growth rate of new clients is still increasing in the period from the beginning of the year to July, 2.3 times more drivers registered in the GreenWay network this year than in the same period last year.

We see this in our data and also in the satisfaction of our business partners whose chargers we manage,” explains Peter Badík, Managing Partner of GreenWay. “The development of our charging network, our open approach to our clients and bringing of innovations to market – this all encourages drivers as well as new owners of infrastructure to join the development of electromobility in Slovakia. Our most popular chargers
Drivers most often use chargers that are near other services that they can use during charging: in the parking lots of shopping malls and office complexes or at the headquarters of large companies. The most popular charging stations in Slovakia include: charging stations at the shopping centers OC Dubeň Žilina, Aupark Bratislava, M park Považská Bystrica, Europa SC Banská Bystrica and Max Poprad, the ecological charging hub at Dalitrans Veľké Bierovce and charging station Todos / OMV Ružomberok.
