European charging network operators with GreenWay and IONITY at the forefront will implement a project to build fast chargers, the purpose of which will be to facilitate travel around Europe for electric drivers. The EXPAND-E consortium, created by the companies, will receive EUR 70 million from the European Commission for the construction of 2,000 new charging stations. This is the largest project of this type co-financed by the European Commission so far.

GreenWay Polska will invest PLN 330 million in the development of their charging network by 2026. For electric drivers, this means 1,500 new charging points that will appear on the map of Poland in less than four years. By the end of this year, GreenWay Polska will include 120 charging points in the network and replace 60 stations with more powerful ones.

Electric vehicle drivers will soon find 70 more stations at their disposal in the GreenWay (GW) network in Poland. This is the result of the purchase of Rawicom EV and the Revnet network by GreenWay. All Revnet stations will become part of the GW network and made available in the GW mobile application later this year. GW’s acquisition of the Revnet network follows its announcement in February that it raised €85 million to support network expansion.

The Polish e-mobility sector will enter the holiday season with a number of approximately 50,000 registered electric cars in the country. According to experts from GreenWay Polska, the increase in the number of cars with a green board on Polish roads and holiday travel will be an important performance test for the charging infrastructure in the country. The company prepared itself by building new stations and increasing capacities in many locations, as well as replacing devices that did not work as expected.

GreenWay adjusts the price list of charging services to the increase in energy costs, rising inflation, and rising labor costs. Despite the price increase, customers using subscription programs will continue to pay the least per kWh on the market. The new GreenWay price list will apply from April 1 this year.

GreenWay, the electromobility leader in Central and Eastern Europe, will receive EUR 85 million for investments in the development of the company and the charging station network. The investment amount will help to strengthen the leading position of GreenWay in the region. The investment is being carried out in the era of significant turmoil and changes in the market, which proves the need to introduce new solutions in transport and energy.

In 2021, electric vehicles covered the distance between the Earth and the Moon more than 100 times thanks to energy provided by GreenWay charging stations! GW users consumed 3,000 MWh in Poland and Slovakia - four times higher than in 2020! This equates to drivers having driven a total of more than 16 million emissions-free km, saving the planet from more than 22 tons of heavily polluting nitrogen oxides (NOx) and more than 3,600 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) that would otherwise escape into the atmosphere.

Last year, GreenWay customers drove around the Earth almost 100 times, based on their energy consumption. The 800 MWh of energy taken from the company’s chargers allowed for a total of 4 million km of ecological driving.
